Defence Management and Economics
We analyse defence management practices undertaken by the UK Ministry of Defence, including defence spending and the economic impact of defence expenditure.
Our research covers all aspects of defence organisation and management, disarmament and technology in a way that encompasses industry, the military and government. We also study the efficiency with which these sectors use scarce resources in the pursuit of multiple defence objectives, including national prosperity. We pay particular attention to how lessons learnt from the civil and commercial sectors and from the practices of other governments can be utilised.
